Overall AV MAX Rating: 4 Out Of 5 (Recommended)
What Say AV? The Zeb-Station is a good 2.0 speaker with a power output that’s good enough for decent listening levels. It is light weight, takes up less setup space and is very easy to use and carry around too. The down firing ports and user EQ are its USP. We loved the FM reception and connectivity options on the Zeb-Station. It may be priced around a decent 2.1 system, but the 2.1 will not give you a USB input, it certainly won’t. That’s where the Zeb-Station wins the show.

The Zebronics website mentions 15W+15W.
I’ve read your article in the magazine. You’ll mention that there is no distortion upto 27db (the max being 32db). Is this sufficient to fill a room with music?
Since Zebronics is into multimedia speakers, it would have been good to add a 4″ subwoofer for added low end punch.
Hey Brian, thank you for your query.
Firstly, music played up to the mentioned level will fill a medium sized room with music which will be sufficient for a pleasant listening experience. However, it will not make the music danceable, as the Zebstation has physical limitations of driver and cabinet size. The 27dB that we’re talking about is the volume reading on the unit’s LED display and not the measurement on a SPL meter. Similarly, the device is designed with compactness and space saving factors, hence, it would not be feasible to add a 4″ driver for a deeper low end delivery in a device of this size. Not to forget the fact that by doing so, it would no longer be called a 2.0 but instead a 2.1 system with the added bass driver.
Hi,
The music I listen to is mostly slow music viz. Norah jones, Neil Diamond or easy listening viz. Eagles, dire Straits, Clapton.
The midrange needs to be good as also the highs. A bit of low end is welcome as long as its tight.
I’m going by your recommendation of the Zebstation.
Just checked out a piece at a dealer.
The line in was not functioning properly. I had attached an Apple Nano thru the RCA input. The volume was way below what a 30W RMS speaker system should sound. The USB input was not reading the music from my Sony USB stick player. The volume knob was not smooth. The dealer has asked me to come back to demo another piece.
Hoping it will work as reviewed by you – a product which has got 4 stars and comes recommended by you.
